Attorney Asherica M. Heard Summer Internship Program
The Attorney Asherica M. Heard Summer Internship Program is designed to provide students with meaningful exposure to the legal profession and the day-to-day operation of a law office. Through hands-on experiences, mentorship, and professional development opportunities, interns gain valuable insight into careers in advocacy, criminal justice, and law.

The program encourages students to develop communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills while learning in a professional environment. Our goal is to inspire and empower the next generation of legal professionals by providing opportunities for education, growth, and real-world experience.

Meet Our Summer 2026 InternÂ
The Law Office of Asherica M. Heard is pleased to welcome our summer intern, Meagan Nix, a senior at Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University and a proud native of Selma, Alabama.

During her time with our office, she will gain hands-on exposure to the legal field, assist with office and case-related projects, and learn more about day-to-day work involved in serving clients and the community.

We are excited to have her join us and look forward to supporting her growth throughout the internship program.
